Media vs Real Life Crime Stoppers & Privatization of Prisons Blog #6

I think that in Blue Bloods things are more dramatized and that when the cop brings the guy over and threatens to shoot him is for tv and wouldn't happen in real life. A cop knows not to do that and that they have a strict code of conduct to abide to. In COPS you see how the officers talk to the people to try to get them to tell the truth so they feel "safe." I think that private prisons are not exactly a bad thing if they are run the way they are supposed to be. I personally would never want to own a prison because there are so many aspects to a prison you would have to worry about and people escaping and many other potential problems that could happen at any mpment. A prison isn't a 9-5 job, a prison in active 24/7 no matter what, no weekends, no holidays, nothing. I think private prisons could have a positive effect on the economy if run correctly.
